Clearing Local Data (iOS)

The app stores data locally which might become out of date-- for instance when a character's stroke order is updated on the servers, new sentences are chosen for words, etc. Other times if you happen to run into an error on the app, it may be caused by some corrupt local data. We recommend clearing the local data in this kind of situation, which will ensure the data on the app is the most recent and often resolves the issue for many situations if you do happen to encounter an error while using the app.

Access the "Settings" option from the home screen

Go into "Account" via the lower right-hand corner

Press "Clear Local Data" at the bottom of the account settings screen

On the iPhone app, scroll down on the account settings screen to view this option.
